Wisteria Floribunda - Domino RHS award-winning wisteria! An RHS award-winning Japanese Wisteria producing masses of long, drooping clusters of pea-like flowers in pale lilac and deep violet with a yellow spot. During the summer months, the woody, clockwise-twining stems are cloaked in attractive pinnate foliage. Height: 6m (19’). Spread: 3m (10’). Culinary note: The flowers are the only edible part of the plant and can be made into an aromatic wine. Their flavour is perfumed.
This Japanese Wisteria makes a worthy choice for sunny walls and fences. The fragrant lilac-blue, pea-like flowers are borne in short racemes of around 20cm (8) long in May and June.
